Necla Yıldız releases after 9 years and 6 months

ANKARA - Necla Yıldız released from Sincan Women's Closed Prison after 9 years and 6 months of imprisonment. 

Necla Yıldız was sentenced to 9 years and 6 months in prison for "terror organization membership" after being arrested in Konya in 2016. Necla Yıldız was welcomed by her relatives, members of the Association for Assistance of Families of Prisoners and Convicts (TUHAYDER) and lawyers of the Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD).
 
Making a statement, Necla Yıldız commemorated Sırrı Süreyya Önder, a member of the DEM Party's İmralı Delegation, who lost his life, and said that the struggle for peace must continue. Drawin attention to the situation of ill prisoners, Necla Yıldız stated that the release of prisoners is expected to evolve in a positive direction.
