NEWS CENTER - Iran has announced the execution of political prisoners Vahid Baniamerian and Abolhassan Montazer.

The Iranian regime’s violations of prisoners’ right to life continue. The Iranian judiciary announced this morning that the political prisoners Abolhassan Montazer and Vahid Baniamerian had been executed.

Montazer and Baniamerian had been tried and sentenced to death on charges of membership of the People’s Mujahedin (MEK) and “armed rebellion”, on the grounds of “gathering and colluding with the aim of undermining national security”.

Babak Alipur, Puya Gobadi, Akbar Daneşvarkar and Muhammad Taghavi Sangdehi, who were tried in the same case, were executed earlier this week.
