New constitution message from Erdoğan

NEWS CENTER - AKP President Tayyip Erdoğan brought the new constitution to the agenda once again at the opening of the Parliament and said: "We invite everyone who has a proposal to join our call for a new constitution."
 
The General Assembly of the Parliament convened on the occasion of the start of the 28th Term, 2nd Legislative Year. CHP Chairperson Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu watched the opening ceremony of the Parliament from the lodge. Kılıçdaroğlu sat side by side with Saadet Party Chairperson Temel Karamollaoğlu. While İYİ Party Chairperson Meral Akşener did not attend the opening of the Parliament, Green Left Party Co-Speakers Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar and İbrahim Akın were in front of the party group.
 
GREEN LEFT PARTY DID NOT STAND UP
 
AKP and MHP MPs applauded President Erdoğan in the General Assembly hall. The group of İYİ Party and Saadet Party MPs stood up but did not applaud. Green Left Party and CHP MPs did not stand up.
 
THE NEW CONSTITUTION IS ON THE AGENDA AGAIN
 
Erdogan spoke at the opening ceremony. Erdogan based on the new constitution, which has been on the agenda for years. Erdogan said: "Now we have a new task and a new opportunity. This is to give our country a new and civilian constitution after the first years of the republic. Only in this way can we do justice to the text 'Sovereignty belongs unconditionally to our nation.' It is the primary responsibility of all of us to save the current constitution from the hunchback that the administration put on our nation 41 years ago. It is clear that this constitution cannot support the Turkey of 2023, with more than 20 changes, large and small, in its 41-year history."
 
BOMB ATTACK IN ANKARA
 
Erdogan also based the bomb attack on the General Directorate of Security in Ankara. Erdoğan said: "The atmosphere that the FETO betrayal network tries to spread, especially through its militants nestled abroad, is a kind of effort to whistle in the graveyard. FETO will never be resurrected in this country, and it is not possible for similar organizations to exhibit new betrayals."
 
OPERATION MESSAGE
 
Drawing attention to the ongoing attacks against the Federated Kurdistan Region and Northern and Eastern Syria, Erdoğan said: "Our strategy to protect our entire southern borders with a security strip of at least 30 kilometers in depth and to keep the activities beyond that under absolute control is permanent. The new steps we will take are only a matter of preparation, time and environment. For this reason, the words 'we can come suddenly at night'. They should not forget this."
