With the work started, it was determined that the municipality, whose economic picture was drawn, was placed under a large debt burden.

A trustee was appointed to Dîgor Municipality, which was won by the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) in the 2014 local elections, on February 9, 2017, by the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The municipality, which was managed by a trustee for 2 years and 1 month, was taken over by the AKP in the 2019 local elections, which were subject to irregularities and suspicions. During the term of AKP member Nebi Kerenci, who served as mayor for two years and five years, no visible services were provided in the district.
