URFA- Condemning the obstacles to the sit-in, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "Those who put these bans for us will give account for justice is served tomorrow."

The Justice Watch carried out by the Şenyaşar family has reached day 522. The sit-in was launched on  March 9, 2021 by Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons as a result of the attack carried out by AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız's bodyguards and relatives in the Suruç province of Urfa, on June 14, 2018. Emine Şenyaşar and her son arrived in front of the Urfa Courthouse from their house in Suruç district early in the morning. Emine Şenyaşar and son, who were prevented from sitting in the shade at the entrance of the courthouse by the police, started the sit-in in the area called "Şenyaşar family justice corner".

WE WILL NOT GIVE UP'

Stating that they demanded justice where justice should be provided, Ferit Şenyaşar said: "No progress was made despite the years since the massacre. The 3 Chief Public Prosecutor, 9 file prosecutors, governor, provincial police chief and 4 security branch managers changed during the period we are on sit-in. We were forbidden to enter the courthouse garden with the order of the newly arrived governor. This is not a solution. This will not deter us. We will not give up on our demand for justice. Those who put these bans for us today will give an account when justice is done tomorrow. We are right, the whole of Turkey is following this case. Our case has gone beyond the borders of Turkey. Justice will be served, we will never lose our faith. We will not leave here until justice will be served and our prisoner brother will be released.”
