NEWS CENTER – Attacks by Israel and the United States against Iran have entered their 16th day, with economic targets as well as military positions being struck.
The war between Israel–the United States and Iran continues on its 16th day. Air strikes have intensified particularly during the night hours.
In Tehran, the city most heavily targeted by the attacks, five consecutive explosions were reported in the Aban Boulevard and Rajai Street area (behind a police station). Explosions were also reported in Bamdad.
After Tehran, one of the most targeted cities was Isfahan, where heavy bombardments were reported. More than 20 explosions were recorded in the Havanirooz and Shahin Shahr districts of the city. In Shiraz, 17 consecutive explosions were reported. The sites of the blasts included the electronic industry zone, the airport, and the Havanirooz and Ahmedi bin Musa military bases.
OIL FACILITIES TARGETED
The United States reportedly bombed military targets on Kharg Island, one of Iran’s most important oil export hubs. More than 90 military sites were reportedly targeted in the attacks.
Iran also carried out attacks on tankers and ships attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. In Baghdad, an Iran-linked armed group reportedly attacked the United States Embassy Baghdad complex. Alert levels at US bases in the region were raised.
Iran also targeted a building in Dubai that houses Citibank. Iran’s official Fars News Agency published a list of industrial, energy and financial companies in the region linked to the United States, stating that all locations on the list would be legitimate targets for the Iranian Armed Forces.
RECIPROCAL ATTACKS
In response to the attacks by the United States and Israel, Iran launched missile strikes toward central Israel. Numerous ballistic missiles fired from Iran targeted central Israeli areas.
Alongside Iran, Hezbollah also carried out attacks on Israel overnight.
The US-based news site Semafor, citing American officials, reported that Israel informed Washington, D.C. this week that its stocks of anti-ballistic missile interceptors had been seriously depleted amid the ongoing conflict with Iran. It was also claimed that Israel had already experienced a significant reduction in these missile stocks in June 2025 and took part in the February 28 attacks with limited reserves.
WHO SAID WHAT?
US President Donald Trump claimed that the United States had “defeated” Iran militarily, economically and in every other field. However, he said that the countries of the world that receive oil through the Strait of Hormuz must ensure the security of this passage. He stated that they will “assist greatly” in this regard. Trump added that the situation would bring the world together in harmony, security and lasting peace. Addressing concerns about rising gasoline prices ahead of local elections, Trump said there was no need to worry and that prices were expected to fall. “Oil supply is a bit tight, but it will open up very soon,” he said.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that passage through the Strait of Hormuz remains open and that only ships linked to the United States and Israel or considered “hostile” were being blocked. Araghchi also spoke about military cooperation with Russia and China, stating: “Military cooperation with Moscow and Beijing continues. In this context, joint efforts are being carried out, including intelligence sharing.”
Meanwhile, Hakan Fidan, the foreign minister of Turkey, said: “I spoke with my Iranian counterpart after the latest incident (the ballistic missile). They again deny responsibility. Of course, there are technical data available. We are discussing the contradiction between statements and reality with Iran.”
Iranian media also claimed that even if the United States and Israel declare a unilateral ceasefire against Iran, Tehran will continue fighting them as long as the war against Hezbollah continues.
