People take to the streets Rojava in Federated Kurdistan Region

NEWS CENTER – People across the Federated Kurdistan Region (Iraq) held protest and marches throughout the night in support of North and East Syria.

Following the general mobilization call issued by the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES), residents in many areas took to the streets. Across numerous cities in the Kurdistan Region, people expressed their support for the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the mobilization call.
 
Thousands of people marched and staged demonstrations in cities and towns including Hewlêr (Erbil), Silêmaniyê (Sulaymaniyah), Kelar, Keladizê, Ranya, Koye, Dihok (Duhok), Kerkük (Kirkuk), Zaxo, Hacîawa, the Mexmûr Refugee Camp, and many other locations, chanting slogans such as “Bijî berxwedana Rojava (Long live the resistance of Rojava)”.
 
Protesters condemned the silence of international powers and called on the Kurdistan Regional Government to take action, demanding the reopening of the Semalka Border Crossing.
