NEWS CENTER - German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul stated that his country, together with France and the United Kingdom, has made a joint proposal to Iran for negotiations on its nuclear programme, adding that military confontation must end. 

 

In the statement to ARD television, Wadephul said they are ready as three country to offer Iran immediate negotiations. "This is an important prerequisite for a peaceful resolution of the conflict so that Iran does not pose a threat to the region, to the state of Israel or to Europe," he said, expressing his hope that this offer would be accepted. He claimed that Israel aims to overthrow the Iranian governement that the main issue is to prevent a nuclear armament that could pose a threat to Israel and Germany, and that Iran has missed the opportunity to negotiate on this issue at an early stage. 

 

Wadephul called for an end to militery conflict, "Because it is very clear that if there is a failure now, it could engulf other countries. No one in the region wants this, and neither does Europe. That is why I am trying to make our voice heard on behalf of Europe and Gernamy and to contribute to calm and de-escalation."

 

"I call on the Israeli government to allow full access to all aid organisations again," Wadephul said, without making any reference to an end to the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
