ANKARA - Answering to a quesiton about the content of the call to be made by PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, DEM Party Co-chair Tuncer Bakırhan said it would be a call for a century and would be a "road map" for the process.

Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan answered the questions of journalists after his party's weekly group meeting in the Parliament.

Asked when the call from PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan would be made, Bakırhan said, "Talks are not that easy. His own organization, its various institutions, his friends, the KDP, the PUK... The delegation is really working hard. We will evaluate the talks after their return. We hope and expect that a call will be made as soon as possible.

Referring to the whether PKK Leader Öcalan's call will be in February, Bakırhan said, "There is no ambiguity for us. If the Minister of Justice speeds up this work, Mr Öcalan will probably make a statement in the near future after the transfer of the talks. The delegation wants to convey the views emerging from the talks. Wether before or after the call, we want it to be after the meeting fo the delegation."

Bakırhan also answered to the claims that PKK Leader Öcalan's call will be "laying down arms" and added, "I have said before that there will be a call for a century. We think that a road map will be drawn up in which all people living in this country will be able to live equally, eliminating the perception of terror, violence and securtiy threats. The weapon

Bakırhan also responded to the claims that PKK Leader Öcalan's call will be "laying down arms" and said, "I have said before that there will be a call for a century. We think that a road map will be drawn up in which all people living in this country will be able to live equally, eliminating the perception of terror, violence and security threats. The weapon is a very small dimension and result of this. The real and essential issue is the democratisation of Turkey. He will announce a road map for the democratic solution of the Kurdish issue from the ground of violence to the political ground, legal ground and democratic way."

Answering a question about the appointment of trustees and the remarks of Mehmet Uçum, Chief Advisor to AKP Chair and President Tayyip Erdoğan, Bakırhan said, "Our interlocutor is not an advisor. The appointment of trustees to municipalities is a usurpation of will. We will fight against this. The people have been electing people for three terms, and trustees are appointed. Is Abdullah Zeydan a terrorist? Is Safiye Co-Chair a terrorist? Shame on you! I think the world public opinion knows very well. We are in favour of peace and solution. I hope he will come to these lands."
