Reactions against the appointment of a trustee to Mersin's Akdeniz Municipality, which is governed by the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), continue. In Êlih, DEM Party made a statement in Gülistan Street against the appointment of trustees.
Co-Mayor Gülistan Sönük, who was replaced by a trustee, addressed the governor of Êlih and said, "You will answer to this people. You also give false information in your statements. The plundering mentality that covets the last morsel on the people's table, drowns the municipality in billions of TL debt, and now seeks manipulation. The trustee stole and destroyed the future of the people of Êlih. This mentality has now occupied the Akdeniz Municipality. Do they have the face to appear before this people?
