Siege of Kobanê enters 27th Day: Another child loses life 2026-02-15 10:18:15 NEWS CENTER – In the besieged city of Kobanê, 12-year-old Dildar Rêzan Hiso, whose treatment had been ongoing in Aleppo, lost his life after the road remained closed, preventing his transfer. Serious difficulties in accessing healthcare continue in Kobanê, which has been under siege since January 20 by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and Turkey-affiliated paramilitary groups. Many patients who require treatment outside the city have been unable to be transferred due to the blockade. One of them was 12-year-old Dildar Rêzan Hiso.   His family had been receiving treatment for him at Al-Jamii Hospital in Aleppo for an extended period. However, on the 26th day of the siege, his condition worsened, and he needed to be urgently taken back to Aleppo.   Because the road between Kobanê and Aleppo was closed, the transfer could not be carried out, and Dildar Rêzan Hiso died.
