Selahattin Demirtaş: Time to work together with sincerity

	ANKARA - Selahattin Demirtaş, commenting on the decision made by the PKK, stated, "Now is the time to work together with sincerity to bring peace, prosperity, democracy, and freedom to life and to ensure Turkey’s development in every aspect."

	 

	Pervin Buldan, a member of the Imrali Delegation of the Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party, visited Selahattin Demirtaş, the former Co-Chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) at Edirne Prison. During the visit, they exchanged views on the latest developments.

	 

	Demirtaş shared the following message:

	Along with the memory of Mr. Sırrı (Süreyya Önder) and the sorrow over his passing, we share the hope of the steps taken towards peace.

	 

	On the occasion of the PKK's congress results, we would like to thank the PKK leadership that made this decision, and all those who contributed to it, especially Mr. Öcalan, Mr. President, Mr. Bahçeli, Mr. Özel, and the DEM Party leadership, as well as the leaders of all political parties, and Mr. Ahmet Türk and Ms. Pervin Buldan. We enthusiastically welcome this historic step as a significant move taken in line with the memory of Mr. Sırrı (Süreyya Önder).
